Itinerary

Day 1
Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and drive you to Lake Manyara National ParkManyara is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large areas of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons, and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park, you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains but also primate filled Woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. After a full day in the Park, you will drive to FIG BIG TREE LODGE/
JAMBO LODGE where you will be able to relax and enjoy dinner and Overnight.

Day 2
From the lodge to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim for a spectacular view of the Ngorongoro
Crater. Continuing as far as the eye can see is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti mean “endless plain” and this 6900 sq. mile (18000 sq. km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million wildebeest.
From January to April is the season when wildebeest give birth to their calves and also hundreds of
thousands of plains zebrasand Thomson’s gazelles. Large predators including lions, cheetah’s andhyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey whichmigratesthroughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat earedfoxes, mongoose, honey badger, jackals, monkeys, baboons and African hares also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds. After the game drive, you will return back to Seronera campsite for the Overnight.

Day 3
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

You will Wake up very early and enjoy a sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park to spot animals when they are more active and also to witness a fantastic African sunrise; one of the most spectacular sites one can experience. You will then return to camp for a Full Breakfast, check-out, and travel to the Ngorongoro Crater. After a full game drive in Serengeti, you will go to Simba campsite in Ngorongoro for overnight.

Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will wake up very early to do an early morning safari before breakfast, to spot the animals when they are more active, and also to have a fantastic sunrise in front of you. The sunrise in the African Savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. You will then travel to Ngorongoro Crater, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino.
In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. Large bull elephants that reside here have V large tusks, due to the rich minerals content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. After your Tour and game drive, you will exit the park and drive to FIG BIG TREE LODGE/ JAMBO LODGE for an overnight.

Day 5
Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will make the short drive to Tarangire national park.Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna, and Tarangire River in search of many animals including zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe. It’s possible that you will catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards watching and relaxing in the trees above. After lunch in the park, after your Game drive, we expect to be back in Arusha around 6:00 pm although we can be flexible if needed (i.e. flight to catch). Likewise, you will be transferred to curio shops where you can grab some souvenirs to take back home with you. After a long day in the crater and drive back to Arusha you will spend the night at Arusha
